Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.
(3x)

Here’s an example of his work in case anyone wasn’t familiar with his name:

He also did the score for the movie The Mission, about the Jesuits in South America.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May God forgive his soul and rest him in His eternal mercy and joy!
He was truly talented, his music really helped me through some difficult moments in life.
My favorite song of his is “Gabriel’s Oboe” from “The Mission”.

Very talented composer. I love his music in Nuovo Cinema Paradiso and Mission.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

His music in Cinema Paradiso sounds just what nostalgia feels like. One of my favorite films and scores.

Everyone thinks of his Western works, he also did this, Maria Goretti, lovely movie:

Rest in peace.

I like to whistle tunes, and now my family is going to hear the whistling parts from those spaghetti westerns. Here’s another:

Yes, his death is listed as July 6th, the feast day of Maria Goretti… wow… passed away in Rome… so, they are hours ahead of us, 8 or so depending on time zone.

It’s amazing the sounds we associate with the Wild West were made by him. Some of us may not have seen the movies or even know the names but we’ve heard them somewhere else.
There are so many videos of orchestras performing his music.

Play The Song Of Death For Me - from Once Upon A Time In The West
