Just because someone claims Mary spoke to them doesn’t mean you should automatically believe what they say without testing them and holding fast that which is good.

You are right, that is what the Catholic Church teaches. We are not to automatically believe in any apparitions without testing them and holding fast to that which is good.

As for bodies in heaven,
We do believe in the Resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
if we didn’t believe in the resurrection of the body, then we would say we “believe in the resurrection of the soul” but we don’t. We believe in a bodily resurrection.
