Hello all. 
First I would like like to say that this is my first post here. The first out of many I pray.
Quick background. I am a Protestant but ecumenical. I try to be as open as possible in my faith. My in-laws are Catholic as is most of my wifeās side of the family.
I am somewhat of a leader in my church, although not ordained. But I am looked at for my teaching abilities. I am currently in a small group Bible study with very new believers with one couple whoās wife is faithfully still a Catholic.
So I have been asked to start a study in Ephesians 1. But more so than this, I am active in other discussions online and in my local assembly and I also have an interest in possibly becoming Catholic in the future. So this is one avenue for me to find more about the Roman Catholic Church.
So, enough with the introduction. Here is my question.
I want to try to be as āecumenicalā with leading this study in Ephesians 1 as possible.
If anyone would be willing to take the time to give me their exegetical and or hermeneutic views on the first chapter of Ephesians I would certainly appreciate it. Realizing of course that this is a long chapter and that I have to be as concise as possible given only about a 40 minute window for this study.
So any comments on this chapter can be kept short and simple for the sake of time.
Other than that, again, I hope to be able to get to know the regulars here better in the future. I hope that my denominational background isnāt a putt off and that Iāll be able to have many fruitful and edifying discussions here.

- I have just ordered āThe International Bible Commentary.ā Iāll be getting that Thursday. So Iāll be using that with some of my Protestant Bible commentaries to help me with Ephesians 1.
