I think he is referring to Jesus crucified. St. Paul said, “I am determined to know nothing among you but Jesus Christ, and Him crucified”. The cross of Christ is where we find our redemption. “Remember me when you come into your Kingdom”.
If you look at verse 16 you will find clarification.

Eph 2 :13-14But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near in the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility,

i believe Paul is referring to Jews and Gentiles sharing in the same promise given to Abraham by God. We are brought near in the blood of Christ when we are baptized into his death.

Romans 6:3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4* We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Eph 2:16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end.

by us both he is referring to Jew and Gentile.

Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39* For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are FAR OFF, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him.”

by far off i believe Peter meant gentiles or those who did not know God yet.
