I don’t drive because I’m epileptic. I’m the only onewho goes to massin my home. Rides are hit and miss. Can I receive communion at home by extrodinary minister?

Speak to someone in the parish office. They may be able to arrange a ride with someone that lives near you in the parish.

Call the parish office. You may receive communion at home, but before I had my own car full of people to get to Mass (otherwise known as husband and children) I would give rides when the parish put out a call. I never could commit long-term because of work, but I was often a last-minute call in.

Yes. You can be put on the Samaritan’s weekly list
They might come on a different day than Sunday though, which is completely fine in your situation.
God bless!

Tried that. Put ad in bullitin. My phone was quiet for all week.

Also put in a call to your local KofC. In some instances they can help.

Ehhh, I wouldn’t trust that. I don’t actually read the bullitin…and I’m pretty sure there are many like me. Try the altar society, the prayer groups, etc.

Hi @ccbarr,

I would call your Parish Office and explain your situation to them, and ask to be put on the homebound/sick call list for Communion to be brought to you at home.

That is what parishes might call it–a homebound or sick call list–where either the pastor comes to your home or someone else designated from the parish will bring Communion to you.
