  • Approved the Episcopal Church’s membership in the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. The membership had caused some controversy during the last General Convention. In a related resolution (NAC-040), the council asked for a report at its March meeting regarding “membership of or on behalf of the Episcopal Church in external organizations.” The National Concerns Committee is considering whether the church needs a more specific policy on membership in such organizations.

A Message from Reverend Carlton W. Veazey, President and CEO [of RCRC]

The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice was founded in 1973 to safeguard the newly won constitutional right to abortion. The Coalition founders were clergy and lay leaders from mainstream religions, many of whom had provided women with referrals to safe abortion services

This has been going on for a long time. It is one of the reasons I became Catholic in 1978, altho there are soooo many other reasons I am glad I came Home.

Good for you!

I guess this is the reason why God allows this evil to happen… so that people will be able to know where His True Church is

I read an interview that Planned Parenthood did with the openly gay Episcopal Bishop. He is very strongly pro-choice, so I guess it’s not a surprise that the Episcopal Church as a whole is moving in that direction. It’s also not surprising that many Episcopal churches in the U.S. are starting to change their affiliation.
