“For Protestants, salvation is attained by grace alone in Christ alone through faith alone for the Glory of God alone as told in Scripture alone.”

What is the Catholic equivalent to this?

Salvation is liberation from sin and its consequences, and as found in the Scriptures and taught by the Catholic Church has four aspects. Liberation:

  1. *]by way of preservation
*]by offering the means for deliverance
*]by removing the difficulty or oppression of evil
*]by rewarding effort spent co-operating with grace so that one will be delivered.

  1. wonderful but we’re not defining salvation, we’re explaining the means of attaining it and trying to structure the answer akin to how the Protestant quote is said.

I don’t know of a single Catholic quote that sums up the Catholic view of salvation as succintly (and to my mind, insufficiently), as the Protestant quote. Where for example in the Protestant quote are any references to the necessity for Trinitarian Baptism, the Church, forgiveness of sins, maintaining personal holiness, the authority for believing in Scripture, other religions or cultures which haven’t had the chance to be properly informed about Christianity, failure to confess sins, unbaptised children, Christian community, works of charity as a result of faith, and so on, and so on?

If you look up the catechism, there are several paragraphs which deal with salvation, and they’re sometimes a long way apart. It would take a fair amount of research to come up with a bite-sized quote which included everything.

It is a list of the means. Salvation is attained:

  1. *]by way of preservation
*]by offering the means for deliverance
*]by removing the difficulty or oppression of evil
*]by rewarding effort spent co-operating with grace so that one will be delivered.

This is incomplete, but is an attempt:

Salvation is attained by grace, dispensed through the presbyterate in the sacraments, which increases our faith, in the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, through works and not by faith alone, for the glory of God and all partakers in the divine nature, as given in revealed truth of scripture, interpreted through the Magesterium, and Sacred Tradition.

You speak Truth. No argument here.
