"CBS New/AP-- Eric Rudolph declared Monday that abortion must be fought with “deadly force” as a judge sentenced him to life in prison for setting off a remote-controlled bomb at an abortion clinic that killed an off-duty police officer and maimed a nurse.

“Children are disposed of at will,” the 38-year-old Rudolph said, jabbing the air in a speech that echoed a rambling manifesto he issued in April when he pleaded guilty to four bombings in all, including the blast at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. “The state is no longer the protector of the innocents.”

Rudolph’s fiery statement came as his victims confronted him court, branding the anti-abortion extremist a cowardly “monster” and recalling how their lives were devastated by the 1998 clinic bombing in Birmingham."

Hi folks. Just wondering what people think of Eric Rudolph. BTW, his victims names are Emily Lyons, the clinic’s nurse, disfigured by his bomb, and police officer Robert Sanderson, killed by his bomb.

Since this about the culture of death, I thought that this topic would be appropriate.

Thanks

Why do you ask? Don’t you know?

Or are you making a statement of some sort by asking?

Killing people to prove that killing people is wrong…Does that make any sense to you? Because it doesn’t to me.

Murder is murder whether it is killing babies or killing the abortionists. Both are wrong and two wrongs do not make a right. You cannot do evil for the sake of good.

This guy is a flaming nutcase and certainly nothing that a Christian can emulate or approve in good conscience.

He’s a murderer and terrorist, plain and simple. He calls himself a Christian, but bombs the Olympics, a gay bar and abortion clinics?

Maybe he will have time enough in prison to contemplate true Christianity, but everything I’ve seen of him indicates that he is off his rocker.

Nothing seems to get through to him. He has no remorse for his victims, any more than the abortuaries have for theirs. He is to be pitied, but he is no Christian.

While Rudolph has been conencted with the so called “Christian Identity” groups, he has stated that “I prefer Nietzsche to the Bible.”

If anything, he is nothing but a milist terrorist. Terrorism has no plac in a democracy. You have a problem with a law, you must use the political process to change it.

I didn’t think I was making a statement. But now I think I am. When viewing another person’s humanity is less important than one’s ideology, ideas about religion, whatever, the line of fundamental decency is crossed. Ideals can pervert people. When someone is willing to spill innocent blood to prove a point, a monster is created.
