We can certainly offer prayers for this community, whatever direction they go in.

Years ago many Catholics learned about cloisters on parochial school. Today very few children go there.

Decades ago Diocesan newspapers and Catholic magazines often featured them, as a possible option. In recent years, media have focused so heavily on social urgencies that even Catholics who are aware of cloisters may not consider them as relevant now.

That’s so true. Our diocese has a new vocations director, and the first thing he noticed was that the women religious get zero support, acknowledgement, or encouragement from the diocese. He hopes to change this. Deo gratias!
