Does anyone have any opinions of J. Neil Schulman’s comedic novel Escape From Heaven?
The protagonist, Duj Pepperman, is a radio talk show host in Los Angeles. His show consists of his conversations with people who phone him. One day one of those callers identifies himself as God and asks if Pepperman would mind dying that night and going to Heaven. Pepperman hangs up on the crank caller. But it turns out it actually was God and that night Pepperman dies and goes to Heaven. After a few days God tells Pepperman He wants him to carry out an important mission and He’s sending him back to Earth for the time being.
