I read a great on-line story some time ago about how a Catholic pastor/parish responded after some Protestant fundamentalist missionaries rented a large vacant local theater and began poaching members from the local Catholic parish and the town’s handful of mainline Protestant congregations.

Sadly I have lost the URL for this story. Does anyone here happen to know what I am trying to describe and a URL where the story can be read? Thanks.

I remember an account of this from an early edition of THIS ROCK magazine; it may take some time, but if you do a search through the link above you should find it. Happy hunting! 🙂

Just read it. What an amazing story! It’s a shame that too few priests today would be willing to take that stance, sacrificing the Faith in the spirit of indifferent “ecumenism.”
