I practice celibacy, at least in the past few years I have. I don’t believe in sex outside of marriage, that’s why if I date a man it’s to find marriage material. Before anyone tries to say that I’m going against church teaching, keep in mind that the church has no official stance on transgender people. Besides, it would be a heterosexual relationship not a homosexual one. If I identify as female, live as female, dress as female and have taken some steps to reconcile my external phenotype with the internal gender of my mind, heart, soul and spirit than I’m Female. I know this may sound like I’m saying God makes mistakes but this is not the case. Perhaps, God intended for me to be disabled and transgender as a test of a person’s Faith, to get people to become more accepting of difference and to show that medical care is, indeed, the work of God. The equally valid point would be that due to the state of decay of our planet due to many people rejecting the Biblical concept of stewardship of the planet. Rather than jump to conclusions and blame someone or label them, perhaps people should look in the mirror.
