Looks like “Dingy” Harry’s obstructionist outbursts are landing him in trouble:

The Senate Ethics Committee will investigate Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid based on two separate complaints filed against the Nevada Democrat, the committee’s vice chairman said this week.

Investigate everyone complaints are lodged against. Investigate DeLay. Investigae Reid. If the ethics panels is to have any credibility whatsoever, it must investigate all ethics complaints regardless of party.

Yes absolutely, including Boxer and Pelosi who are apparently busily trying to fill out their travel forms properly as we speak.

As far as Reid goes, he should be censored for his outbursts. Where did this loose cannon come from? I never heard of the man until he was elected minority leader. Has he always been subject to such a lack of self control? The comment about Judge Saad’s background check was absolutely disgraceful.

I had never heard of Reid before 2004. Apparently he’s always been known as fairly mild-mannered, not at all in the mold of say, a Newt Gingrich. That makes all this press about him somewhat surprising, as it’s so at odds with what people say his reputation is. There was an article on him a couple of Atlantics ago.

I imagine it must be difficult being in Congress. Play too nice and you’re accused of being spineless (see Democrats, 2000-2004). Be too loud and aggressive and you get accused of stoking partisan warfare (see current GOP leaders such as Frist).

YEP! Now I want to know how many Kennedys are on the payroll, how many trips Nancy Pelosi has taken, etc, etc. I want a complete list. Let’s hear it all and then decide. Won’t they all love it? I want to know what friends and family Dick Durbin pays. I want to hear about it all. The more info the better. Is there a blogger out there that can help us. Who paid for all the trips to Iraq and Afghanistan that they all took? We know the MSM won’t help us but the bloggers are outdoing themselves for us. HELP!!!
 
If the House Ethics committee ever gets around to meeting, the first congresscritter scheduled for the docket is Jim McDermott (D - WA).

A Federal court has ruled (in a civil case) he illegally distributed a recording of phone call made by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Democrats have kept that matter bottled up for nine years now.

Philip it’s not what the press says ABOUT Harry, it’s what Harry SAYS. I am drop jawed that he thinks it’s appropriate for a US Senator, Minority Leader and supposedly a devout Mormon to call President Bush a ‘loser.’ There were two other outbursts that were surprising, capped by the recent betrayal of the confidentiality required when reviewing files for the judges being considered by the Senate. The veiled hints of ‘problems’ behind Judge Saad’s nomination was something you’d expect of a sixteen year old brat, not a US Senator. The dems need to put a cork in that man’s mouth.

I keep wondering if the loose cannon act is a “Bad Cop” role, making Hillary look quite reasonable in comparison to Reid and Dean.
