Pax Christi,
In my endeavours to better experience the universality of our Catholic Church, I have been watching a few different Masses/Divine Liturgies/Qur’banas/Qorbonos from the various Eastern Catholic Churches.
I am interested in watching a video of a Ge’ez Rite liturgy (a subdivision of the Alexandrian Rite), used in the Ethiopian and Eritrean Catholic sui iuris Churches. It is also used in the Ethiopian and Eritrean Tewahedo Churches but I am particular in wanting to watch a video of it celebrated by priests in communion with the Apostolic See.
I am also interested in watching a video of the liturgy celebrated according to the Armenian Rite in the Armenian Catholic sui iuris Church.
If anyone knows of any videos where either of these rites are celebrated by priests in communion with Rome, then please do let me know.
Two other Eastern Catholic liturgies I have watched online are listed below. Both are well worth watching:
This is Easter Mass celebrated by His Beatitude Moran Mor Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, Patriarch of the Syriac Maronite Church of Antioch (Maronite Church).
This is a beautiful sung Qur’bana, celebrated in East Syriac (a development from Aramaic, spoken by Our Lord) in the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church:
The Syro-Malabar Church is mostly found in Kerala (South India), whilst the Maronite Church is from Lebanon (though many now live overseas), where it forms a large minority of the population.
God Bless.
