Is there anybody out there who ever listens to or knows of Catholic radio (or TV for that matter) programming in other languages than English?

Right now I’m listening to a Spanish language broadcast on 950 AM here in Chicago. Mercy Chaplet, Hymns, what sounds like the beginning of a Rosary.

I know that the Archdiocese also has some Spanish and Polish language shows which they air on brokered time stations.

EWTN offers their Catholic Radio Network in Spanish. I know you can get it on Sirius Satellite Radio, EWTN Mundial or something, not sure if its on any FM stations.

For TV, there’s TV TRWAM in Polish free-to-air on the AMC 4 satellite (I don’t know if it’s all religious…I once saw a Polish weather forecast there) and Telepace from Italy on Intelsat Americas 5, also free-to-air. Those both satellites that can be received with a 75-cm (30") dish.

For radio, there are probably numerous stations offering Catholic programs in foreign languages, mostly in Spanish, I would be inclined to think.

There’s a station in Lebanon which broadcasts in Arabic, French, Armenian, and English. It’s on the internet at radiocharity.org and on shortwave on 11,715 kHz very early in the morning. You’d probably be lucky to hear it on SW.

There are several stations in Canada that broadcast for the Ukrainian Catholic League and they broadcast in Urkainian.

Pittsburgh used to have a program called SLAVA that was also for Ukrainian Catholics but I don’t if it’s still on the air or not.
