LONDON, United Kingdom, January 13, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) – UK pastors are alarmed at a report issued by the EU’s Network of Independent Experts on Human Rights that says clergy and registrars should not have the right to refuse to ‘marry’ gay couples.

The report states that “right of access” should take precedence over rights of conscience for clergy or registrars.

What a deceptive title Lifesite gave this article, infact that is not at all what the EU document states.
 
I’ve been predicting for years that it will eventually come to the point- if Gay marriage is legalized- that churches will either have to perform the ceromonies(or hire gay employees) or lose their tax exemptions, at the least.
 
Our Church has been persecuted before for less than this. It is our lot in this world as Jesus said.
 
Wow, between this and locking people up for “thought crimes” the Atlantic just does not seem wide enough.
