I have a hard time fully understanding the whole concept of the eucharist. I have a hard time believing it is Jesus body, blood, soul
and divinity. When I see it, it looks like a host, taste like bread, feels like bread so it’s hard for me to understand it “only appears as bread”, can someone help me better understand the Eucharist, I know what it is it’s just hard to believe it when it doesn’t look like flesh or feel like it or taste like it. Any good books too. I want to understand it better but I’m not sure how?

**Pray to Our Lord ** to give you the gift of faith to believe in His Holy Presence in the Eucharist.

**Spend some time before Him in the Blessed Sacrament ** – an hour of adoration at least once a week. You will come to know, believe in and feel His Presence.

See if you can find a tape of Scott Hahn’s conversion story and his **tape entitled “The Fourth Cup.” ** I believe they are available from St. Joseph Communications and also at www.catholicity.com. (they also have Father Larry’s tape entitled “The Mass Explained”).

I went through a few years of not believing and understanding Jesus’ True Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Through a lingering illness that developed into chronic health problems, I found myself with time to read, listen to tapes, study Sacred Scripture and come to know the Truth of the Catholic Church.

We are fortunate to have a Catholic radio station in our area – **listen to Catholic Answers! ** See if **EWTN ** (Catholic TV station) is available in your area. You can listen to programming through your computer if you don’t have a local radio/tv station. Catholic Answers also has tracts and past radio programs that you can listen to anytime – find some on the Eucharist and listen to them.

In time, if your heart is open and you are seeking the Truth, Jesus will show you He is Truly Present in the Eucharist.

God be with you on your jouney, Mother Mary pray for you, guardian angel be at your side, St. Michael the Archangel, defend you in battle.
