I wasn’t sure whether to post this in the news section or here, but … I just wanted to share something interesting from this week.

I attended Adoration at two different churches, one on Monday and the other today. At both churches, the Adoration chapels were packed with people … usually, I see 2 or 3 others during the time I’m there. But both days this week there were at least 10 people there during the hour I was there … a very noticeable difference!

I’m wondering if all the recent news about theft of/desecration of the Eucharist has opened the eyes of many to how precious the Sacrament truly is. Perhaps it has awakened a new devotion to Christ in the Eucharist.

Maybe I’m reaching here, but something sure seems to be going on. Whatever it is, thanks be to God!

What beautiful thing it will be if the UCF student’s holding the Eucharist hostage, and the UMN professor’s determination to desecrate the Host cause more Catholics to participate in Adoration. That’s a pretty awesome thought to think the numbers have tripled just in your chapel. It would be incredible if that happened everywhere.
