I recently read in the Acts of the Apostles that the early Church came together to ‘break bread’ on the 1st day of the week. Was it the practice of the Early Church to take the Eucharist only on Sunday? When did the Church start offering Mass on days other than Sunday or Saturday evening?

Part of the answer is that the Church believes that as a part of its worldwide mission it should be constantly celebrating the Eucharist. Therefore at every hour of every day mass is being celebrated someplace in the world.

I don’t believe the celebration on Sunday in Acts was considered to be the maximum times permitted per week.

I’m not a historian on the subject as far as the date goes, but for the reason of making it daily but I’ll take a shot in the dark. In the Our Father prayer, we ask “…to give us our DAILY bread” and since Jesus is the bread of salvation/life, that could very well me why Eucharist is given on each day of the week now.

Edit for clarification

IMO, celebrating the breaking of the bread on the first day of the week was just stating that the new believers in Christ (1st century) were separating themselves from the Jews who celebrated the Sabbath.

The daily celebrating the Mass IMO was encouraged because the Church recognized that the Eucharist is the central focus of our faith, and should be distriburted to those who wants it.
(I believe this is also the encouragement of the Eucharist Adoration being 24-7.

God commanded the Mass to be said always and everywhere

Mal 1:11
11 My name will be great among the nations; from the rising to the setting of the sun. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to my name, because my name will be great among the nations," says the LORD Almighty.

There is only on pure offering, the Holy Lamb of God offered at the Mass.

See ** Acts 2:46-47**
Code:
Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes. They ate their meals with exultation and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
Looks like a Daily Mass from the beginning with a Liturgy of the Word in the Temple and a Liturgy of the eucharist in their homes.
