Nice to see you said TONGUE and not HAND.
In our culture of death today, it’s so easy to be irreverent to the real presence.
Receiving in the hand says you arrogantly take it. While receiving it on the tongue says you humbly receive it… And PLEASE genuflect before receiving.
Wrong. The Church allows reception in the hand, so it is a valid means of receiving. The fact that YOU don’t agree doesn’t amount to a hill of beans.

Also, how dare you determine that those who receive in the hand receive “arrogantly?” One can receive just as “humbly” in the hand as those who receive on the tongue at the rail. Who are you to determine the interior disposition of ANYONE who receives the Eucharist? Apparently, reverence is simply an exterior action for you.

Im sorry my question caused such a stir. I didnt word it very well, but I think it was answered. To clarify, I will state it again, word it so as not to draw any further misunderstandings.

After receiving the Body at Eucharist, should one chew or swallow it before taking the Blood? Or should they both mix and be swallowed together?

I dont understand what ‘intinction’ is.

Thanks. 👍
If you receive Holy Communion in the hand, you need to consume it right away. Then, you can go and receive the Precious Blood from the chalice.

Only a priest can employ the method of intinction. This method involves taking the Sacred Host and dipping it into the Precious Blood. But, only a priest can do this and you can only receive Holy Communion in this manner on the tongue.
