Can you provide documentation to prove this? 😃

That’s actually good to know. Now I can skip my normal prayers after Mass, ditch out the side door after communion and go straight to Starbucks down the road. Immediate seating at IHOP - sweet. Thanks!

Ah, yes, because not fasting for 15 minutes after Communion is the same as leaving early.

Remember people, we are talking about Daily Mass. For us, daily Mass ends about 2 minutes after everyone receives. The church is totally empty 5 minutes after, because most people are dashing to work or school.

It’s daily Mass. You don’t even have to attend, never mind receive communion. And there is no requirement to fast after having received. It isn’t in the catechism. If you want to leave as soon as the Mass ends and go to IHOP, you are free to do so.

But don’t take my word for it. Ask your pastor, bishop, or someone else well-versed in the subject. The requirement simply is nonexistent.

Proof of a non-issue is an impossibility.

I’ve had multiple priests dispense me from the fast and have never had a priest not do so.
