Take a Bible account that you like a lot. Learn all you can about it; doing some research to learn all aspects of it. Practice presenting it (but not in front of a mirror because you don’t want to scare yourself) until you get it down and feel comfortable with it. Now that you are ready our Lord will give you the opportunity to put your new found talents to work in His Vineyard.

So, let’s say you are with someone, a skeptical or unbelieving soul, and you can feel the Holy Spirit encouraging you to evangelize. Now you are prepared to give Jesus your all.

If you prepare yourself for this, God will certainly use your new ability to the fullest.

Here is another way to use your new talent. Have a few Christian friends do the same thing. When they are prepared ask some other of your friends – ones who say they believe in God, but you know they are far from being believers in Jesus Christ, to come over one evening because you want to talk with them about their belief in Jesus. Each one of the believers could invite one or two skeptics. Of course you could talk about other things as well. You don’t want people feeling you are “ganging up” on them.

But when the Holy Spirit encourages one of you to bring up the topic then that’s the time to evangelize. Perhaps only one of the believers will get the opportunity to tell their Biblical account or perhaps all of you. Just remember to trust in Jesus, that regardless of how things seem to be going, He will make the best of it and you will be doing your Christian duty to spread the Good News to the ends of the earth.

What about evangelizing with pro-life and Catholic-themed pin buttons (images and pictures of popular saints, our Blessed Mother in her various roles (Guadalupe, Lourdes, Fatima, Aparecida, Perpetual Help), Divine Mercy, Sacred Heart, crosses, monstrance, and other Catholic clip arts)? Would having such a button pinned to your shirt, lapel, cap, bag, backpack, work place cubicle divider and any other ways of displaying it, help you evangelize? Other people will see and notice it, and may start a conversation leading to a conversion. or it may remind them of something that they need to do, or may lead somebody to not liking you for showing off your belief in pro-life cause and that you are a Catholic. We are told to be bold and share our faith with others. Think about it and please give me your comments/feedbacks. Just trying to contribute something to the New Evangelization work of the Church. Thanks for this chance to participate. God Bless. Filipino

I think this is an excellent idea - and since it’s your idea why don’t you find some sites online where these things can be purchased and post it here - and I can use the links a few other places also

Thanks you for liking the idea. I am 100% sold to this idea and it’s a matter of encouraging Catholics to pin a button and share their faith. I am not sure I can tell you where to get the buttons in this blog; you have to email me on this - mendax44@gmail.com. With God’s help! Vivat Jesus!

I love the idea of using a scripture passage that is very important to me personally as an evangelization tool, and I also think using the Holy Spirit, along with the gifts of the Holy Spirit to spread God’s love through you in addition is the greatest tool. Do you agree?

Not too long ago I watched a movie about three gentlemen who traveled the world to discover God’s love and grace. The name of the movie was Father of Lights and in the beginning they addressed the idea of preaching at people to repent to evangelize verses the idea of loving people within a relationship and speaking encouragement and truth to them. Do you think using scripture, if not done in love or in a careful, sensitive manner could push people away from God rather than draw them to him?

For a better idea of the movie I’m referring to, you can see the trailer on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=eKpPVkHlDQU

I think your delivery isn’t what’s important - if you do it for love, God will use it maybe not for that person but for another.
