Evangelizing on the Internet

Does anyone here evangelize on Protestant, or other religion’s, Internet message boards? And I don’t mean going to another website just to be critical of another’s religion.

I came across a website and was about to register, but, looking through the disclaimer, I noticed it said Roman Catholics were not welcomed on their board for debate. Looking through some of the posts I saw a lot of “I’m a Christian, but he/she is Catholic.” What a joke!

BTW, what’s the policy of CAF concerning Protestants engaging in debate on this website?

They usually kick us off if they find out we are Catholic… or just wait…everyone will gang up on you and tell you how wrong you are…

Now now, ‘usually get trounced’, besides being highly inaccurate (you guys get served at least as much as everyone else), isn’t exactly encouraging to people of other or no faiths who want to learn and debate, is it? We don’t just hang out in the ‘non-Catholic’ ghetto.

There’s plenty of opportunity for Catholics to debate others here. Non-theists, Protestants, Buddhists, Muslims – though in this last case, I’m hardly surprised they tend to post for a while and give up, looking at how they are treated by many posters.

I have yet to see anyone convert over a thread in Non-Catholic Religions.
 
“Trounced” is perhaps an ill-chosen word-- I chose it with a sense of humor which didn’t show. Was just thinking of those who enter that forum with the intent of converting us. 😃 Rather than to come to a better understanding of our faith.

Yeah, the Muslims are poorly treated, which is sad, because many seem to be decent people and good educators about their faith. Oh— hi, Mirdath!! 🙂
