Looks like there is a second Catholic TV netork being formed. This one is in Canada:
Evangelizing Through TV in Canada
Interview With Father Thomas Rosica, President of Media Foundation

TORONTO, JAN. 27, 2006 (Zenit.org).- Television is no longer forbidden territory for evangelization, says the priest who served as national director of World Youth Day 2002 in Canada.

Immediately after that World Youth Day, Basilian Father Thomas Rosica was appointed as president and chief executive officer of the Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation and television network in Canada.

I wonder how long it will be before they run afowl with the “hate crime” censors.

I’ve never heard of this program. Canada is in dire need of all the help it can get. We can only pray that “Salt and Light” can continue its evangelization without too much opposition.

Well, considering Canadian TV is full of other languages, I pay for cable and only half of it I can watch because I don’t understand the rest, and also that I have to pay extra for EWTN, I can’t wait for something decent on tv. Basically, Canadian TV is summed up like this: Out of 100 channels, 40 are american, 5 in italian, 6 in punjabi (?), 3 in chinese, 20 in French, 10 canadian channels and the rest are infomercials. Thats a rough estimate but it clearly shows we need an English Catholic Canadian Channel.

I second that notion, though it is getting clearer by the day that to speak Catholic beliefs without confrontation is near impossible.
