good morning all,

i am relatively new to the evangelistic approach to the Christian faith. i’ve been reading/researching and praying about it. God’s been pulling me toward being more evangelistic. and i’ve been reading his word and boning up on my approach.

well, today i took the plunge at work with a guy i consider an intellect. we started a dialogue and everything has gone smoothly. he’s a rather laidback individual and open to many ideas.

unfortunately, he believes he’s going to heaven but doesn’t believe in the ten commandments nor the bible (altogether). he mentioned in our last exchange that karma is the punisher and God will receive his just due in time.

i’m perplexed by this way of thinking and kind of hit a brick wall. he got busy and promised to continue our conversation at another time. so i am open for any suggestions as to how to approach such a thought process.

in all my research, i haven’t run into anybody ever witnessing to such an individual. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks and God Bless.

We are here a short time and then we are gone. None of us have a say in that matter. Nor can we change our death.

It irritates intellectuals to be powerless.

I suggest you look into books by Mortimer Jerome Adler or maybe C.S. Lewis
