Lets say I go to confession every week, but I always fail to mention a mortal sin I didn’t remember. now lets say it goes unconfessed and I die, would I go to hell?
If someone goes to confession and honestly confesses their sins, then all their sins are forgiven. The only time a mortal sin is not forgiven is if someone deliberately withholds the sin from confession. In the case of someone who does not remember, they are not deliberately withholding the sin.
