Gee, only for women, not for women and men. So Mormons and others who hate strong drinks still don’t have it right.

Sorry if I sound grouchy.

If you read the entire article, you see that the risk more or less goes away or is outweighed by benefits when the woman passes middle age.

I will not deny the dangers of alcohol, including this. However, I will point out that EVERYTHING seems to cause cancer now a days, yet not everyone GETS cancer.

In the end, it is up to God.

Less than 2% drank more than 3 glasses of alcohol per day. So what was the break down for one glass of alcohol per day? How many of them only drank one glass of red wine per day?

I am sorry but this article is FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt). Next week they will put out an article stating that one glass of red wine decreases the risk of cancer and heart disease.

The study is ongoing and has not been completed. So I wonder if the end results will support this article.

From the article
Allen says the findings cannot be extrapolated to men, because they were not included in the study. Most of the research on alcohol and cancer in men has been limited to heavy drinkers, but Allen says it is likely that low-to-moderate alcohol consumption increases cancer risk in men as well as women.
