Could someone please clarify if receiving the Holy Eucharist during a weekday evening mass means that you cannot receive it again on the following midday mass?

Many thanks.

No it doesn’t. A day is a 24 hour period from midnight to midnight. You may receive communion twice in one day, provided that the second time is within the context of a Mass.

And before anyone corrects me or calls it an omission, obviously you may receive at any time when you are in danger of death, even if you’ve already received twice in the same day.

No.
Hope this helps. We can even consume the Eucharist twice in the SAME DAY if at least one (I am not sure if it has to be the last one) is during Mass.
But an evening Mass during the week is likely for that day anyway, and not the next one, unless there’s a major feast day that it is for or something.
But, even still, I’m pretty sure canon law considers midnight to midnight as one “day”.

If I am wrong in any way, let others correct me.

But you can totally go again the next day.

My understanding is that the second time must be while attending mass.

With the conditions Father stated.

I recently asked my Priest and he said its fine to receive twice a day ( with conditions stated by Fr on this thread) . Church ministries can see us in this situation at times.
