This topic’s just for fun, but have any of you (most likely when young) ever misunderstood the words in a prayer and said them wrong a lot? I remember doing that a lot as a little kid…for example, my parents taught me to say a prayer before meals I’d say something like this, usually because i was in a hurry to eat:

“Gum more Jesus be our guest
Forrus this food buh-blest-be-blest.
Amen.”

Am I the only one who did that? I meant well, but, heh, I just didn’t say most prayers right!

I once had a heated argument with my cousin when we were kids. I insisted that the words to “Silent Night” were “sleep in heavenly peas.”

When I was younger I would sing Lasagna in the highest instead of Hosana.

Once, while praying the Rosary, I prayed “Oh my Jesus, Save us from the fires of Hell, and lead all souls to TEMPTATION, especially those in most need of Thine Mercy” Luckily nobody heard me.

Haha, that was the part of church that used to make give me this craving for Lasagna when I was a little kid.
