Are there any Catholic charismatics influenced by the teachings of John Wimber and the Vineyard?
What I’m curious about is how Charismatic Catholicism emerged. I always thought that it emerged as a response to a growing Pentecostal presence in South America. Thats what I always found as one of Catholicism’s strengths actually. We take the good unique bits and integrate into a Catholic context.

Actually, I thought both the mainline Protestant and Catholic charismatic movements began in the 60’s and 70’s in the United States.

Sorry, but I think I’m going to go to the Lutheran church instead now… the Catholic church has too much baggage=purgatory, prayer to Saints and exaltation of Mary above Christ, indulgences, etc etc etc…

But at the same time I’ll still visit that southern baptist mega-church too…

It seems like you are church shopping? Try a nice Pentecostal church while you’re at it … 😃

Wow… you sure change your mind fast.

Why would you want to leave for these things? Do some reading into the early church. This is not baggage, this was always a part of Christianity. Don’t leave the one true Church!

And the Mary above Christ thing is just ridiculous. No offense but it sounds to me like you’re trolling at this point.
