I cannot stand Mars Hill, if that is what you are asking.
What I’m curious about is how Charismatic Catholicism emerged. I always thought that it emerged as a response to a growing Pentecostal presence in South America. Thats what I always found as one of Catholicism’s strengths actually. We take the good unique bits and integrate into a Catholic context. Are there any Catholic charismatics influenced by the teachings of John Wimber and the Vineyard?
Actually, I thought both the mainline Protestant and Catholic charismatic movements began in the 60’s and 70’s in the United States. What I’m curious about is how Charismatic Catholicism emerged. It seems like you are church shopping? Try a nice Pentecostal church while you’re at it …Sorry, but I think I’m going to go to the Lutheran church instead now… the Catholic church has too much baggage=purgatory, prayer to Saints and exaltation of Mary above Christ, indulgences, etc etc etc…
But at the same time I’ll still visit that southern baptist mega-church too…
