Just curious if any of you notice what others are reading as I do. (Maybe I am nosey). I take public transportation to and from work everyday. My only way of tolerating the long ride is to read. Generally I read Christian/ Catholic material and books, technical information or the newspaper. I get easily bored with novels for whatever reason.

As I look around to what others are reading I have yet to ever have seen someone reading Christian/Catholic material. There was one exception when I witnessed a man reading a Bible one day on the subway. My guess was he was preping for the evenings Bible study.

I wonder if people are a bit shy, maybe, about reading religious material in public, of if the vast majority of people simply never read religious material.

One MAJOR exception to this is The Di Vinci Code which, of course, it seems EVERYBODY is reading! 😦

Yeah my church is having lottsa books about the davinshi code(please exuse the spelling!)

I work in a coffee shop that is rather close to a Christian college. I see lots of those kids (most of them non-Catholics) reading their bibles and bible studies or works of Christian devotion. Some of them have been rather antagonistic towards Catholicism but they are at least generally not shy about their faith, which I appreciate very much.

Outside of my coffe shop though? Like you Mijoy2 I am a bit nosey too and I don’t see much besides that awful DaVinci Code.
