Can a Catholic drink everclear alcohol? I have found much information about Catholics drinking beer and wine and even monks making it, but I can’t find any information on if it is okay to drink everclear as a Catholic.

all alcohol is permitted just need to be done in moderation

Catholics can drink alcohol in general, as long as we do so responsibly and in moderation. You’re not going to find an approved list of types of alcohol.

Everclear is just really potent liquor. It’s not different than beer or wine in any meaningful way.

Except, if you drink 6 or 12 ounces of Everclear, your next stop will probably be the morgue. 😱

Just really strong grain alcohol. It’s sort of entered the popular consciousness in the US as the go-to for high schoolers trying to get silly.

Yes, Catholic teaching allows the responsible consumption of alcohol.

No, being a Catholic does not give you the ability to drink straight everclear; even Catholics are advised to dilute it.

There are several more questions that would need to be asked. Are you of legal drinking age? What is your purpose of drinking? Do you plan to drink in moderation? Is there any scandal or near temptation of sin involved eg if you are unmarred and drinking alone with someone of the opposite sex then you could more easily fall into the sin of fornication.

Catholics don’t make lists of approved and unapproved alcoholic beverages.
If the beverage is legal for you to drink where you’re drinking it, and it’s not a health hazard to you personally, and you make sure not to become impaired or do risky things like drive while drinking, then you can drink in moderation.

Everclear is really strong so you better know what you’re doing before you have any.
I’ve seen people end up in the emergency room for less.
