I was visiting a website about religious paintings and one of the comments stated that an artist hid demonic images into his painting of a guardian angel.

Is there any truth to this?

Probably not.

Random comments on the Internet about “demonic” this or that, without some more reliable source, are not credible.

Aha, if there were demons in the water, (if) that represents that the guardian angel is protecting the children from physical harm from the water.

The guardian angel is also protecting from spiritual harm and keeping them in the right path.

This isn’t the first time I have heard this accusation.

That is an unsubstantiated comment , unverified, by someone reading the article. There is no proof given it is true. Even if there were fallen angels- demons in the painting, this does not mean what Shirly claims it to mean.

Demons are fallen angels who are known to tempt humans. There are plenty of them in all forms of art. An artist would be most likely painting them in to represent good and evil in the world and its fallen nature.

The artist might be representing the good angel, the guardian angel, protecting children from the evils of the water and the bridge and death.

It’s just an excuse for them to justify their hate for Christians. Besides which, most of the food pantries I see going on around here are all run by Christians. The Catholics have one, the Baptists have one up the road, other Protestant churches have them too. I’m pretty sure it’s like that everywhere in USA.

What I found most interesting about that article was that the picture was popular with Protestants as well as Catholics. I guess I should have expected that, since angels are biblical and Protestants generally accept them more than they do saints who aren’t in the Bible.

The article mentions nothing about demons being in the water, only that the waters were unpredictable and could flood. There may be hidden, subliminal images in that painting, but how can we know that?
