I am not very good with memorizing or referring to the Scripture, there’s a passage I remember someone quote on an article about TV shows, I think it was from Paul and it said something like “Evil or evil acts shouldn’t be mentioned”, and one of the benefits is that when one hears about evil things, he/she gets familiarized with them and then it would be harder to resist the temptation to do them(“I’ve heard many people do this, therefore it shouldn’t be that bad”), can someone point me out to the exact reference?
Thanks

There’s this…though it doesn’t mention ‘hearing’ 🤷

1 Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Perhaps Ephesians 5:3-20
But fornication and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, … Therefore do not associate with them,…

Here’s an OT passage. But it wouldn’t be the St. Paul one you’re looking for.
Isaiah 33:15-16 He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe, ** who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking upon evil,* he will dwell on the heights;*

Some other OT passages come to mind where the Jews are warned against associating with the pagans lest they take up their sinful ways (cf Deut 20:16-18; Deut 7:3-4)
