My daughter’s science text at a Catholic school defines adaptation as “a structure or ability that helps a living thing meet its needs”. Example of the adaptation in the text include a picture of a skull of a hyena referring to the teeth as adaptations for eating meat. Also, there is discussions of bird bills being adaptations. The teacher is not referencing Genesis in her presentation of this information. Isn’t this teaching evolution?
