Hi i am a Catholic since birth but it is only this year that i had appreciated the Catholic Church because of EWTN… And i think i am addicted to the teaching of the catholic churcxh because of EWTN!

Praise GOD for giving us EWTN!!

It’s amazing to realize what one thought the RC church teaches and what she actually teaches! And the beauty of/in her teaching. EWTN has certainly been a gift from God.

Hi viktor, Your thread is interesting. I love my Catholic faith and I consider myself an EWTN Catholic. It’s sad I have to clarify my faith in this way. Sadly there are those that teach in our parishes and diocese’ that are not in agreement with what is taught on EWTN.

Hi Viktor –

I have to say that EWTN is largely responsible for keeping me in the Catholic Church! We only started receiving it about four years ago, and it was a time of crisis for my faith. Thank God that I was able to see it when I was or who knows where I’d be now? Just think of all the people this wonderful ministry is touching! Let’s remember to keep them and all faithful Catholic media in our prayers!

Yes Viktor, Praise God for EWTN! I became a Catholic 10 years ago. 12 or 13 years ago I started watching EWTN and Mother Angelica and that along with the Holy Spirit I give credit for my conversion to the Holy Catholic Church!:tiphat:

Prior to EWTN I was a practicing catholic (mass every sunday) who only knew that God existed and that Jesus was God. Very little else.Because of EWTN TV and radio programs such as CA, Mother Angelica, Kresta, Carapi etc… I now can be much more confident in my faith. Both in the way I live it and defend it.
I really think that there are growing numbers of people who are learning the faith through the likes of EWTN and then are bringing it to the people around them.
Such a blessing is EWTN and other catholic media!

Have any of you watched the episode of EWTN Live when Deacon Bill was on?

It was amazing to hear the stories of how it all got started.

About a year before my conversion to Catholicism I found EWTN. I was sure I wanted to be a Christian ~ But at that point didn’t know what kind of Christian I wanted to be. Along with other resources and study, EWTN helped me to decide that I wanted to be Catholic! “Thats the kind of Christian I want to be!” Yeah, I guess I am an EWTN catholic.

I am grateful that they exist to help show the world what the Church says about themselves.
I hope you are all remembering them between the gas and electric bill. 🙂

We didn’t get EWTN TV until about a year ago when we subscribed to DISH TV. The California coastal area does not have it available on regular cable TV. Catholic radio also is not available for “coastal” California. The Sacramento area and the inland valley all the way to Reno, Nevada have Catholic radio. That’s how I discovered it…travelling to Sacramento and Reno. It’s not easy hauling a computer around the house to pick up Catholic radio (EWTN) at home on the NET so my loving husband gave me my own SIRIUS satellite radio for Christmas. Now I’m a big fan of Open Live and Catholic Answers and I’m learning something new about Catholicism every day. I hope everyone who appreciates EWTN is remembering to send them money to keep them on the air.

EWTN has been a big part of my return to the faith. Everything I remember and alot I never learned is there.

Unfortunately this mornig I tuned in and 2 broadcasts I enjoy are just a jumble of languages overlapping. Can anyone say Babbel?? A few weks ago everything was in english. Why the change? I wish I would have actually taped some of the Rosary and Mass as I had been talking about doing.

Hopefully this is not going to be the format going forward.

I looked on the EWTN website and could not find a contact number or email address.

As read in the thread so far EWTN has been a big part of many conversions and re-versions. It would be a shame if that ministry were harmed in any way.

Mike

EWTN (mainly Mother Angelica) brought me to the Catholic Church in the early 90’s. Back then, I wrote letters to her (via “snailmail” since email was not as “mainstream” as it is now) and received a reply suggesting RCIA classes.
