EWTN in financial need?

I heard that EWTN is in great financial need right now. Is anyone aware of this?

My conversion to the Catholic faith was greatly influenced by the Eternal Word Television Network, and especially the faith of Mother Angleca. I hope that all Catholics in the U.S. are aware of the wonderful evangelical work EWTN contributes to our society’s media.

EWTN is always in financial need, as is any apostolate that relies on donations. But, God had provided so far and there is little reason to think he won’t keep doing it for as long as it is needed. 🙂

The annual budget for EWTN is of the order of $30+ million. Satellite transponders and etc are VERY expensive.

If every viewer sent in $100, it would help a lot.

But some large donors are needed, as well.
 
I was watching the Journey Home last night and at the end EWTN’s CEO came on and said that they were $500,000 in the red.

So, donate if you can - and don’t forget our dear CA without which these forums are not possible!!
 
Yes, I have seen Deacon Bill ask us for money several times already. The last I heard I thought it was $600,000 in the red.
Since I know they need the money, I will bump this thread. 😃
