I have been a directv customer since 1996. I always was frustrated that I was unable to watch EWTN on Directv. The only times I was able to watch were when I was on vacation or on-line.

I nearly cancelled my directv subscription recently because I understood that Directv was unavailable.

Lo and behold, this week I found EWTN on station 422. Of course, I’ve been feasting on it nearly non-stop for the past 5 days.

Someone please help me. Has EWTN been on Directv for years and I’ve been missing out on it because I’m too dumb to be able to review a simple channel lineup?

Humbly Yours,

Prodigal

It has only been avaliable in my area for about 6 months… Not too long.

I was wondering about that myself. Thanks for the post. Got it!

I’ve had Dish Network for quite a few years. One of the reasons that I choise Dish Network, over Direct TV, was because Dish had EWTN & Direct TV did not.

Ditto. In fact, it was about the ONLY reason.

Its been on cable for years but I cant afford it. I hate the ritualistic prayers but I really enjoy the little chat shows about the various agendas.

I have DISHTV for several reasons:

It’s less expensive then DirectTV.
It has had EWTN since I began service with them.
It has better non-sports broadcasting. (DirectTV is supposedly better at sports?)
I support DISHTV because it supports and has supported EWTN!

Now if I could just get Catholic radio in this somewhat anti-Catholic city of Tulsa.
