Lifted from the EWTN Newsletter Wings:

On Sunday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) the EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network will provide a 7-hour Christmas Special to XM Satellite Radio for broadcast on XM Live channel 200! From 6pm - 1am (ET), XM subscribers will hear the Solemn Mass of Christmas Eve celebrated by Pope Benedict XVI from St. Peter’s Square in Rome, The World Over Live Christmas Special hosted by Raymond Arroyo, and the Solemn Mass of Christmas Eve from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.
  • If you would like to hear EWTN Radio on XM permanently, contact XM Satellite Radio and passionately and consistently request XM to permanently add EWTN Radio to their line up. Always include your XM subscriber number! For further information, please email EWTN’s Radio Marketing Director, John Pepe, at jpepe@ewtn.com

Jump on this if you have XM! While I am a Sirius subscriber, I totally support this effort to expand the reach of Catholic Radio. If I didn’t already have three Sirius Radios, I’d buy XM too…

This is great! I’m a Sirius subscriber as well (and went with it over XM because of EWTN) but hey, the more the merrier. EWTN continues to amaze me as a broadcaster, and I hope they can secure a permanent station on XM. 👍

I believe that XM also carried EWTN radio during the time of John Paul II’s death and Benedict XVI’s election. It’s good to know that they’ll at least collaborate with them for major events.
