"Worse, she argued, was the fact that many in the BBC “do not wish to know better,” because the church stands in opposition to ‘the ‘enlightened’ liberal view on matters such as abortion and euthanasia.’”

British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is the world’s oldest national broadcasting organization and the largest broadcaster in the world by number of employees. (From Wikipedia)

No doubt this is true of some in major US news outlets too.
It’s like the memory hole in 1984.

When I was reading articles about the fire from some mainstream sources I noticed no mention of religion. They would mention art work being saved but nothing about religious artifacts. It’s a museum to them, not a place of worship. I wasn’t surprised at all.

At least the BBC used the word “Christian” in their reporting on Sri Lanka. Gotta give 'em that much.

Which brings me back to the comment I made on here when Notre Dame first caught fire, that most of the people reporting breathlessly on the tragedy probably never said a prayer in the place and did not appreciate its religious significance in the least. I got a lot of flak for that comment, but it’s the truth.

Don’t laugh, but I really don’t know and I want to be sure:
Is this a true article from a real news source, or is it similar to the Onion (like one of the comments below the article says)?
