Jesus Christ poured His Holy Spirit into His chosen Church, and sent her to be light, and to be life, among men walking in the shadow of the death of this world! He overcame evil; He overcame death; He showed us the way and the truth and the life! Where are we – and where is His Church, His own, His chosen?

The Church is mostly asleep, content with platitudes and niceness, while savages around the world are aiming their hatred straight at us. *Here is where conversion must begin: in our parishes, and chanceries, and convents and monasteries:conversion must begin within, deep within the heart of the Church, so that she, awakened and alive and renewed in zeal, might begin to live her mission. ** The world needs the life of Christ! The Church needs to awaken, and soon.

Where are we indeed!
I know the blogger specifically mentions the American Church but this is not just an American nightmare, it is universal.
From the look of it, the Church seems overwhelmed by it all.
We object but who is listening? Our voice is drowned in the LGBT cacophony :sad_yes:

Thanks for your reply. Yes, indeed, the evil one prowls around everywhere – seeking whom he may devour! (cf 1 Peter 5) Many members of the Church, among clergy, religious and laity are confused, and as Thomas points out in his blog, this has been building over time. The Church has been asleep and has allowed the evil one to do more and more damage.

Our hope is in God, however, and in what He wants to do through us who are baptized into His Body, the Church, and are listening to the “signs of the times”, praying as Jesus taught us in the Our Father: “…Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done…” The Holy Spirit has been poured forth into our hearts at Baptism and we need to renew our Baptismal promises to renounce the evil one, and all his pomps and all his empty promises. We need to live our new Life in Christ. called to by God: “Be holy as I am Holy.”

By God’s grace, like our Mother Mary may we learn to be docile to the Holy Spirit and bring Christ into the world. May we shine as Mary did on this earth, and continues to shine on us from heaven, with His Light. She is the “Star of the New Evangelization” and she can show us how “Nothing is impossible with God”.

“Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array?” Mary is the eschatalogical icon of the Church.

As I just posted in my last reply, if you would like to encourage Thomas and others who read the blog, maybe you’d like to post a comment – even as short as “Agreed” to let others know there are still “soldiers” in the Church Militant who are “fighting the good fight”. BTW - Have you ever considered joining or are you already a member of the Legion of Mary? Servant of God Frank Duff, by God’s grace, founded the Legion to be modeled on the Roman Legion in its “loyalty and effectiveness”, conquering the world for Christ with weapons of prayer and works of mercy.
