I have used the on line Catechism of the Unites Sates Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB web site for a great deal of research on Catholic teaching from my PC, phone and tablet. Until just recently it has been a little bulky and difficult to navigate unless you know exactly where you are going.

This morning I clicked on my regular bookmark to look something up and was greatly surprised and pleased to find their format has changed completely!

It’s now in a graphically cool flipping book format but most exciting, it is word searchable!

Put a word into the search field and instantly get a list of all occurrences with links (that stay in place) to the pages you are looking for!

For those searching for answers into the teaching of the church, this new tool will make our research lives so much easier!

God bless the web master at the USCCB!

That is very nice!

It even makes the sound of a page turning! (its the little things in life)

Yeah, I noticed the new interface a few days ago. It’s nice. There are couple of things I don’t like about it, but perhaps I’ll get used to it or find a way to work around the problems.

It’s also clever that the page turning sound is not the same every time, and if you turn a bunch of pages together, it makes a different sound.

Very nice find if I don’t happen to be near my copy and for quoting on the forums … Thank you

I’ll still keep my hard copy.
I’ve got the little white 1st edition, the big green 2nd edition, a little green pocket edition of the 2nd edition, and a digital version. Yet, I still look at the Catechism online most often. 😛 :o

Yeah, I dunno… it loads pretty slow and feels clunky to me. If I want to turn pages I have a copy of it over here. I use SCBorremeo’s site because I can cut and paste and search quickly.
