What would be the proper way to respond to this verse, to someone see’s Moses being a murder?
“And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.
And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.”
Exodus 2:11-12

He went to the defence of another person. That is not murder, even today!

…while I am not dismissive of the incident… did you note that he was defending a Hebrew? …at that time the Egyptian thought themselves as full citizens and actual people while they thought of the Hebrews as subhuman; the treatment of the Hebrew may have been more than what Moses could stomach… but did you follow the whole story? …as I recall, another Hebrew called Moses out on it and caused him to fear for his life (since his act did not evade notice) and he fled Egypt… one would say that Yahweh God took on a murderer as His right-hand man… but it was not easy… how much time transpired, was it about 40 years? in our modern culture repeat murderers get off with a few months per murder… another important thing to note… did Moses abuse his power once Yahweh God placed him as “a god to Aaron and the Pharoah?”
