Exodus 21:15 and what Jesus would say

Exodus 21:15

Whoever strikes his father or his mother shall be put to death.

How does Jesus’ fulfillment of the Old Law change this? The forgiveness of sins confessed to the priest must effect this. What would be the approximate temporal punishment given by the Holy Trinity in regards to this act?

I think that in all such regards one can look to the story of the woman caught in adultery…
Jesus response?? “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.”

I see no reason to look for a different response to a different sin…

Coming to think of it, I think you can still be excommunicated “latae sententiae” for assaulting a Bishop or the Pope… is this the scriptural basis for that law?
