Hello,

I’ve been trying to search on the internet to find this video but so far have been unable to locate it. Back in high school, we watched a documentary video on the real story behind the Exorcist movie. It had interviews with a priest who witnessed the exorcist. I’m trying to find a copy of it to show on my college campus, but I can not remember the name of the documentary. Has anyone here seen it? What’s the name of the documentary and where can I find a copy of it?

This looks promising

The Exorcist was a smash at the box office in 1973, terrorizing audiences spellbound by the battle between good and evil on the silver screen. A now classic film, The Exorcist has been released into theaters again after an absence of 25 years. To coincide with this event, Winstar Home Entertainment has released the documentary In The Grip Of Evil made in 1997, an in-depth and fascinating look at the real story behind William Friedkin’s film The Exorcist. Including Interviews with filmmakers and Priests, newspaper accounts and a diary of the “exorcism” events, this DVD is jam-packed with information…but is it worth its price-tag?
Here’s another

Richard Rossi filmed for the first time documented footage of actual exorcisms and contemporary healing miracles of Biblical proportions in his stunning documentary which first aired on the FOX network. Credible cases and testimonies of ordinary people experiencing extraordinary power include a woman paralyzed thirty years instantly walks, a cancer victim who is cured, a disabled child with a twisted foot miraculously is made whole. The viewer is held on the edge of his seat for the most fascinating documentary on faith healing and exorcism ever done, set to a score of contemporary rock music!
but, it doesn’t seem to be linked to the Exorcist

If you want some real information on exorcism, get the book,
“Hostage to the Devil,” by Malachi Martin.
Malichi Martin was a Jesuit Priest and expert in exorcism. In this book, he provides information on the process of demonic possession, as well as the process used by the Church in performing an exercism. The book contains five documented accounts by the Catholic Church, of demonic possession in the United States.

I happened to see the official exorcist priest for the Archdiocese of New York, on Mother Angelica Live. A caller asked this priest about the book and Malachi Martin. The priest said that he knew Father Martin and had consulted with him on exorcism, when he first became an exorcist priest. He said the book is very accurate.

Anyway, the book is a good read, and will keep you up at night. 😃
