Please share with me some of the most awesome times you had in a youth group or while being a leader
1- did everyone have as much fun as you?
2- was it a game or a block party?
3- why or what made it fun?
4- were the efforts of the leaders in vain? (Did all the kids stay christian)

Finally, any tips on how I . . . A person who is afraid of speaking to anyone within the age range of 9 to 16 can maybe volunteer in the future?

To conquer a fear you must confront the fear. Make it a point to talk to a kid that is 9 years old, or 10, 13 and so on. You could do something as simple as asking them how they are, tell them you like the way they style their hair or what they are wearing. Then make sure you let them talk about something they like with you.

You could start volunteering now. If you are good at a subject in school, find out if there are younger kids that need help. I bet there is a teacher out there, or a neighbor who would love someone to help a student who is struggling. You could also look into working with disabled children around your age or a little younger.

The more you do, the better your chances of becoming comfortable with working with and talking too people of all ages and abilities. Focus on others more than yourself and you won’t be so self conscious. Be kind, honest and caring and people will start to notice you as a good and trustworthy person.
