Yes, I am a woman, have a wonderful husband of 42 years, and am a daily worshiper at mass in my parish, for those who inquire.
My only concern was the lack of reverence for the Blessed Sacrament on days and times that were designated by the pastor
to be for Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

Having been a product of Catholic Education by the Notre Dame nuns, I found it appalling that so sacred a rite was pushed aside for something that could have and should have been scheduled for another time, and wondered if anyone else had experienced the same at their parish. So far, no one has responded in the affirmative.
Actually this happened this past First Friday. Father always Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament following the morning Mass on First Friday. There was going to be a funeral in the morning and he wanted to practice with the altar servers beforehand so he decided not to have Exposition until after the funeral.

Hello snickerdoodle,

You are blessed to even have the opportunity to adore the Lord. He certainly deserves the greatest reverence and respect. I suppose the lack of responses regarding similar situations is because of the few times exposition itself is even done at all these days…

Hello Dan,

You are so right. Although, a neighboring parish has Perpetual Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in their downstairs chapel. There is someone there twenty-four hours a day, every day.

I have only discovered this recently, but go there quite often now that I know. It is a very wonderful discovery, and there are quite a number of adorers (although most of us have white hair).

If only people would discover how much more peaceful their lives would be if they spent some time with the Lord in prayerful solitude, and not only talked to Him, but Listened, too.
