Hello, I am not sure what to do at this point 😣 My in-laws curse like sailors and use Gd word all the time around my baby. I understand that even though aside from gd cursing isn’t necessarily a sin, but I really don’t want my baby growing up around that kinda language and use it. My husband is doing better about his cursing, and asked them to watch their language, but they don’t respect that and they also laugh at people who think of cursing as crude. When i first met my husband my inlaws always joked about how I must have never heard a curse word in my life because I never use crude words.

Then you should enforce the boundary you set. They should respect your wishes or limit contact. Sounds harsh, but it may well be necessary.

I also think that if your husband is trying to change his habit he should be the one to have the discussion with his family. Even though you initially were the one that wanted the change, he should be the one telling/correcting his family.

Children will mimic what they hear. Especially when a lot of attention is given, be it laughter or admonishment.
It’s never too early to instill in children not to repeat everything they hear, especially words that may hurt others.
Wait til they go to school!
