Will someone, a bishop or priest, someone, please tell them that they are extra-ordinary ministers, not Eucharistic ministers!

What’s more; do we really need extra-ordinary ministers at a daily Mass at which only 20 parishoners show up?

They are Extra Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. No they are not needed for daily Mass. Except possibly to administer the chalice if no other priest or deacon is available and then only one.

That depends on how many you have at daily mass. We run 200 - 300 at each of two. Most are people on their way to work; so we ned tokeep the mass to about 30 minutes or so. That would be difficult if only the priest administered Communion.

The original post indicated about 20 people at daily Mass. However if the priest only offered Holy Communion under the form of bread at daily Mass, even 200 would not require but maybe one EMHC.

Four years ago when I was serving at Mass we were called *Eucharistic Ministers. *Now there are new guidelines for serving, which we follow, and are now called Extra-ordinary Ministers. Some of the duties have changed, and this is why the titular change.
