Ezekiel 40-47 and the temple

I know this is an allegory to the Church, but can you tell me more about it? How can we know this has not literal meaning? If it does, doesn’t it contredics Isaias 66 where the sacrifices are counted a crime after the coming of Christ as nuch as sacrificing swine?

My friend do you have the correct passage for your OPQ?

Ezek. 40 is all about building the temple. I don’t see the conncection to the first part of Issiah 65 you reference?

There’s a whole lot of material in those chapters, but being prophetic, I am not aware that there is significance in analyzing the particulars. November 9th, the Church celebrated the Dedication of St. John Lateran in Rome. The first reading that day was taken from Ezekiel 47, and represents the flow of grace [the wonderful stream spoken of in verses 1-12] poured out through the Church.

Other than this, I have no other insight to help you.
